Preparation work before construction

1. Material acceptance requirements

Third, masonry construction process points

Construction process:

Subgrade treatment → block trial arrangement → leveling and placing line and setting tare bar (pre-buried connecting bars or reinforcing mesh) → preparing and laying mortar → block masonry → reserving door and window openings and pre-buried → calibration → hooking → self-checking.

1. Masonry method

• Adopt full smooth masonry form

• Laying mortar of one block length, laying one block.

• Masonry method of adding vertical joints

2. Gray joint control

General requirements:

• Horizontal gray joint thickness: 8~12mm

• Vertical mortar thickness: 8~12mm

• Horizontal mortar fullness of mortar: ≥ 90

• Vertical mortar fullness: ≥80

Requirements for thin mortar joints:

• Blocks with good surface flatness and geometric dimension error ≤±1mm

• Thickness of mortar joints: 3mm~5mm

• It is forbidden to use water to flush the grout to fill the joints

IV. Requirements for special parts

1. Window wall masonry

For window wall with width less than 1m, main specification blocks and auxiliary specification blocks should be used to ensure the stability of the wall.

2. Seismic defense requirements

6-degree and 7-degree defense area:

• Straight hews can be left at temporary interruptions (except at corners)

• The height difference should not exceed one step of scaffolding height

• Straight hews should be made into convex hews

• Installation of tie reinforcement: 2Φ6 steel bars per layer, spacing ≤500mm

• Embedded length: ≥700mm on each side, 90°bend hook at the end.

8 degree defense area:
It is forbidden to leave straight hewers, and other reliable connection methods must be adopted.

3. Top void treatment

• Leave voids at the connection between the top surface of masonry blocks and frame beams and slabs.

• At least 15 days after the completion of masonry

• Gap ≤50mm: use foamed polyethylene solid elastic rod and other materials, embedded with construction sealant.

• Gap＞50mm: Use C20 fine stone concrete to fill in and make insulation treatment.

4. Handling of pipes through the wall

• Pipes through the wall should be strictly prevented from leakage

• The iron fittings attached to the wall or buried in the wall should be anticorrosive.
